WINCHESTER — Parker Kerns pitched a one-hitter in a five-inning complete game to lead the James Wood High School baseball team to an 11-1 win over Washington (W.Va.) on Monday.
Kerns (RBI, walk at plate) allowed one earned run, four walks and struck out seven batters for the Colonels (11-4), who led 4-0 after one inning, 5-0 after two, 8-0 after three and 8-1 after four before scoring three runs in the fifth.
