WINCHESTER — James Wood bested Manassas Park 20-0 in five innings on Tuesday to improve to 10-4. The Colonels scored 14 runs in the second inning, one in the third and five in the fourth.
James Wood recorded 16 hits and 17 walks, and didn't need a single extra-base hit to pile up the runs. Manassas Park recorded a hit and a walk.
Lane Herring started and struck out two batters while giving up the hit and walk. Tyler Prusik pitched the next two innings and recorded five strikeouts before David Terry pitched the fifth and recorded three punchouts on 10 pitches.
