STRASBURG — James Wood improved to 2-0 by shutting out Strasburg on three hits on Thursday. 

Parker Kerns earned the win by pitching the first five innings. He allowed one hits, two walks and struck out five batters. Jake Woskobunik (one walk, one strikeout) and Logan Bower (two walks, three strikeouts) each allowed one hit in one inning. 

The Colonels led 3-0 after one inning, 4-0 after three innings and 6-0 after four innings. Bower (1 for 3) hit a two-run home run to make it 3-0.
