The contest was mostly a pitcher's duel between the Colonels' Brock Whipkey and Warren County's Landon Shell, who both threw seven shutout innings. Whipkey allowed four hits and two walks with nine strikeouts. Shell pitched 7.1 innings, allowing three hits with four walks and two strikeouts. Bower allowed a walk and struck out two in an inning of relief to pick up the win.
