WINCHESTER — James Wood scored five runs in the first inning and went on to an 8-4 Class Northwestern District baseball win against Handley on Wednesday at Bodie Grim Field.

The Colonels (8-6) handed the Judges (5-10) their fifth consecutive loss. Coby Nesselrodt's two-run double capped the first inning outburst. Kemper Omps and Garett McAlexander each drove in a run with a single and Zach Woskobunik had a sacrifice fly.
