PURCELLVILLE — Loudoun Valley scored three times in the bottom of the eighth to knock off James Wood on Thursday.

The Colonels (0-2) scored a run in the top of the seventh to tie the score then netted a pair in the top of the eighth to take a 7-5 lead. Loudoun Valley scored a pair in the eighth and won on a bases-loaded walk.

James Wood pitchers allowed just three hits in the contest, but the Colonels could not overcome five errors and 10 walks. The Vikings scored seven unearned runs.
