FRONT ROYAL — Skyline clinched third place in the Northwestern District with a victory over James Wood Thursday at Bing Crosby Stadium.

The Colonels (8-11, 4-7 Northwestern) were led by Addison Barber, who pitched six innings and allowed seven hits, no walks and struck out 10. Andy Kennedy went 2 for 3 with a run.

James Wood will be the fourth seed and face No. 5 Handley in Saturday’s play-in game, also at Bing Crosby. The Hawks improved to 5-6 in the district and will face No. 2 Millbrook in Monday’s semifinals at Bing Crosby.
