NOKESVILLE — Kettle Run scored three runs in the second inning, four in the fourth and two in the sixth inning to defeat James Wood in the Colonels’ season and Class 4 Northwestern District opener on Wednesday.
The Cougars had eight hits, drew five walks and took advantage of six errors against James Wood. Only one of the runs was earned.
James Wood had five hits. Brett Baker went 2 for 2 with a double, a triple and a run. Tylor McBride drove Baker in with an RBI single in the third inning. Colby Monroe and Kevin Brown also had hits.
