STEPHENS CITY — Tre Porter went 2 for 4 with an RBI, and Taylor Loudan went 2 for 4 with a double to help Sherando defeat James Wood to stay unbeaten in the Northwestern District on Tuesday night.

The Warriors scored in every inning except the first, and broke a 2-0 game open with three runs in the fourth.

Tyler Quinn went 1 for 3 with a double for the Warriors (9-1, 5-0).

Sherando’s Darrell Thompson (4-0) struck out seven but walked three and hit three batters in 5 innings in the victory. Loudan came into pitch with the tying run at the plate in the seventh to get the save.

Scott Zerull went 2 for 4 to lead the Colonels.
